Wedding Pictures
I am not a professional photographer OK? However, I recently took some pictures at a friends wedding, and I want to tell you what I learned from the experience. First of all taking wedding photos is not easy as it appears to be. There are lots of things that I should have considered. One of the things to take into consideration is the idea of telling the story of the big day. You may want to show the bride getting ready prior to the ceremony. Her mother helping her with her hair, her clothing over a chair etc., putting on her makeup etc. The same goes for the groom: a shot of the groom tying is tie would also be nice. I wish I would have taken these pre-wedding shots. Taking pictures of the families and wedding party prior to the service is also a good idea. Make sure you have the proper lighting. Weather permitting, outdoor shots are always nice.
The next tips that I can give you are to take pictures of the guests streaming into the site. Taking pictures of the minister pre and post ceremony are also a good bet. I would also suggest pictures of the ushers escorting the moms to their seats. Other pics I would suggest is taking pictures of the bride and groom at the altar. Close up of them as they exchange rings, and close up shot of them as they exchange vows, along with a wide shot of the wedding guests.
Naturally, one should also get shots as they are leaving the church. At the reception, a shot of the venue outside is nice to set the tone. The bride and groom dancing at the reception is also nice, as well as the bride and her father and the groom and his mother. These tips should help you take better shots than I did! I like to go to Perth Photography.
